We also highly recommend using an enzymatic toothpaste or gel before doing any of the following.

•  Ultrasonic toothbrush or gentle hand descaling with care
• totally silent process
• Ultrasonic brush does not vibrate
•  Ultrasonic  brush waves help to remove plaque and tartar.
• Reaches deep into the gum to strengthen gum tissue.
• Does not require any brushing action 
• Helps prevent bad breath.
• Helps to prevent further build up of tartar, inflammation and periodontitis.

Cost

• The first session is priced at £25, which includes a special brush head especially for your pet only.
• Subsequent sessions are then priced at £15
• A new brush head will need to be purchased after a while or if damaged; this ensures the ultrasonic waves are transmitted .
• Brush rental is £35 for 2 weeks plus £20 for the head & paste.
• Hand descaling is from £10 a session includes scale as much as possible

How many sessions are needed ?

It is likely your dog will need around 3 sessions depending on the individual case.  However we are now much more in favour of renting out the ultrasonic brush to the customer to use at home for a few weeks this gets a much better result and is better value for the owner.  We can only offer the unit when it is booked for a 2 week period of time to ensure everyone that needs it can use it. 

My honest thoughts

I have been doing a lot of  research into the process of ultrasonic dental cleaning  which now seems to be coming more and more popular with groomers .   After my background in the veterinary field and  assisting with many many dental procedures , I must admit I was sceptical as I know how valuable a full dental is.  I just wasn't sure , however i have now decided to offer this service using the Emmi pet ultrasonic toothbrush for pets.  I chose it because it seemed to have the best reputation and it answered all my clinical questions and doubts.  Myself , Vicky's Dog grooming and Lana Collyer have all being working hard to train up and set this all up in the best possible way for our clients, offering something that's efficient and affordable, competitive and most importantly honest.  We are in no way trying to replace a full dental descale at a vets however I do think this is a very good way to prevent dogs needing dentals as often .  After having the ultrasonic system in place now for a good year now we have come to realise that very  best way to get results and best value for the customer is to rent our ultrasonic brush out and use it for a few weeks at home.
